Elizabetta will teach you about olive oil, its health and cooking benefits, how it’s made and how to taste it. Both Elizabetta and Hans have completed a national course in olive oil tasting, and Hans in professional pruning and care of the olive trees. After the workshop, where you will blind taste different olive oils, you will be rewarded with a glass of refreshing prosecco and appetizers made with, what else? Our organic olives! Cycling Tour (Spring and Autumn)
Hans will lead you on a morning tour through the hilly countryside and charming medieval towns, where, of course in true Italian fashion you’ll stop for coffee and snacks. Italian Cooking Classes (Spring and Autumn)
Join us for a morning cooking class and learn how to make authentic traditional local Italian dishes using the freshest and wherever possible, organic ingredients. Elizabetta is a former professional chef and member of the Italian Slow food movement and is passionate about food, where it comes from and ways to prepare it. Class is about 3.5 hours. Mid morning snack and coffee. It’s a hands on class (you do the cooking!) so participation is limited. Min. 5, max. 8 people. After the class we’ll all enjoy the multi course lunch you’ve prepared with wine and coffee. Price €55/person includes class, meal and recipes to take home. Family members and travelling companions can join us for the meal that you prepared for a reduced price.
All about Lavender (mini workshop)
In this class you will learn about lavender, its history, how and why to use it, crafts you make with it, and how to use it in cooking. During the workshop you’ll be served lavender lemonade and a snack. You will take home some lavender recipes and instructions for some crafts. €7,50 Min 6 participants.
Join us for a unique experience hunting for truffles in the beautiful Sibililini Mountains. An expert with his special trained dog will guide you through the woods to where different types of Oak trees have been planted. Truffles are an edible fungus that grow along the roots of trees and are prized in gourmet cooking and are sold for €500-€3000/kilo. Enjoy an aperitif at a bar in a quaint mountain town, followed by a delicious meal in a rustic inn where the truffles we find are shaved over our pasta complete the outing.
Rent a Motor Scooter
We arrange for a motor scooter (50-75cc) to be delivered to the agriturismo in the morning and picked up in the evening so you can explore our area driving in the open air. We can give you tips on where to go and where to stop and eat along the way.
